A free pop-up park in Phú Mỹ Hưng's P2 Park by Saigon architecture studio Studio Anettai, inspired by the city's rainy season. The Rain Park is a 20-metre structure that catches and filters rainwater so kids can pump and splash it safely while seeing how it gets from sky to basin. The Night Plaza is a lawn with seating and soft lamps by local designer mài for an evening hangout. Open daily 3pm to 8pm until November 1. Two special evenings: Water Evening on September 19 with a walk, a paid yoga session (registration needed) and a lantern parade, and Water in the City on October 3, a Saigon River workshop by Gieo Collective.
Võ Huỳnh Phú's small-format works at Ôm Môi Studio sit with the pull between worldly desire and religious ideal, in a visual language drawn from Vietnamese folk culture and Buddhist and Taoist symbols. Working small brings his strange world close. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm, until October 15, free entry.
A group show at Toong with Khang Lê, Quí Phan and Hoàng Sinh, built around the limits of sight and the incompleteness of any single viewpoint. The three practices do not widen the frame so much as offer different positions on the same world, from wide landscape to private tremor. Open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, through October, free entry.
Lotus Gallery shows work by painter Mai San from the 1960s to the 1990s, mostly ink and gouache on paper. Quick drying and suited to sketching on the spot, the medium let her catch passing moments on her travels: upland villages, markets, river landings and festivals, set down in flat, decisive blocks of vermilion, indigo, green and bright yellow. Open daily 9am to 6pm until November 1, free entry.
