To Fold a Sky | Nguyễn Văn Hè

CHILLALA - House of Art and Lan Tinh Foundation present the debut solo exhibition of contemporary artist Nguyễn Văn Hè, curated by Ace Lê: 23 lacquer works from his ongoing series "Folding Airplanes". Drawing on the childhood game of paper folding, the works revisit post-war memory through a childlike lens. Each fold becomes a way to release raw, unrefined emotion, and the series traces a path from the realistic rendering of military hardware, through the dismantling of childhood games, to minimalist monochrome geometric forms.
